...To be a Mother ?"THE most important person on earth is a mother. She cannot claim the honor of having built Notre Dame Cathedral. She need not. She has built something more magnificent than any cathedral - a dwelling for an immortal soul, the tiny perfection of her baby's body.
"The angels have not been blessed with such a grace. They cannot share in God's creative miracle to bring new saints to Heaven. Only a human mother can. Mothers are closer to God the Creator than any other creature; God joins forces with mothers in performing this act of creation.
Meet the photographer:
Photography has always been a part of me..from the times as a child when my mother would sew dresses and make suits for my 5 siblings, my dad would take the official Easter or Christmas photo as we lined up according to age ..only to find out 6 months later when he had the film f-i-n-a-l-l-y developed that he had cut off heads or feet ( we always had lots of laughs and lots of ceiling) but of course...they couldn't be remade ! I remember taking the camera and looking through lens.. wondering what was so hard about taking a picture ? From about age 12, dad encouraged me to continue to take pictures and I did ! ...At 17 and armed with my 35mm he signed me up to take the Dale Carnegie Business Courses with my college courses and you know the rest of the story ...
After Katie graduated from Rhode Island School of Photography in 1983, she started work as a photographer using Bronica & Mamiya medium format cameras with brides, children and their families during the past 20 years in the San Joaquin Valley, and the last 12 years in the the Friendswood-Clear Lake area..
Katie O'Neill's portraits have been hanging in homes in the Friendswood, Pearland, League City, Alvin & Clear Lake area since early 1996.
Member of Friendswood Chamber of Commerce for over a decade.. Member of Professional Photographers of America since 1983
Most of her work is by referral and "word of mouth" which is the nicest compliment a client can give !

Congratulations to all the young men from Notre Dame de LaSalette Academy from Olivet,Illinois for winning Silver Medals ( 2nd Place ) in the All High School Boys National RUGBY Championship,May 31,2008 Check out their Portrait image in our gallery !As a studio located close to Friendswood High School off Falling Leaf, we offer scenic outdoor settings including a goldfish-koi pond, rustic stone walls, country barn, fencing and (seasonal) bluebonnet hills. Wee Ones Gallery: All studios love babies ! Katie ONeill is experienced in photographing the freshest newborn babies up to your busy toddler ! We have a Watch me Grow Club and a Maternity Newborn Collection session. Don't hassle with the mall people, come as you are to Katie ONeills and let's get that baby session going !
Families are our business. The fingerprints on the wall appear higher and higher..and suddenly they disappear..For moms that maintain a home, run children to school and perhaps work outside the home, you have extraordinary demands on your time.The one constant in your life is your family. Senior Portraits: The late teenage years..
A kind of dress rehearsal for adulthood..Your sons and daughters have begun to erase the memories of childhood. The boy is almost a man..in his interests, his attitudes and thinking.The young woman has begun to blossom..still a lifetime of growing and learning ahead..but never ever again a child. Let us capture graduation portraits for you !
What will you bring to your session ? A 2006 FFA Senior brought in his Grand Champion steer, others posed with their horses, cars and prom gowns by our Friendswood studio under the pines . Agriculture dept. seniors: Our studio has trailer access if you wish to bring your FFA animals before they go to auction!
However as times change we change with the times and thus present new ways to peek at our studio via the internet ! If my dad could only see it now ! (RIP) My dad passed away in 2004 from stage 4 lung cancer, 6 months after diagnosis.
Some things stay the same as we still do personal consultations prior to your portraits and chat for a while as we design your session. As with most studios, ours is still best run "by appointment only" to give you the best of my time and attention.
